(Port) Wine of the month August 2022: Taylor Vintage Port Vinha Velha 2011

Tasted amongst all (!) other Vinha Velha Vintage Ports from Taylors whilst sitting next to the chief-winemaker David Guimaraens. Dark-red colour with violet reflexes. Incredibly young and complex bouquet with a tremendous intensity and a great balance. Perfectly integrated acidity, full-bodied red-berry fruit, white pepper, a silky tannic structure and raspberry, cassis and chocolate. Amazing length in the aftertaste. 19+/20
